Slide design for companies: What business presentations can learn from Silicon Valley
)
When you think of a pharmaceutical company's branding, you probably envision a relatively clean image. Lots of white, gray, possibly combined with subtle shades of blue. A sans-serif font. Consistent, discreet, clean. You certainly wouldn't think of vibrant colors, an irregular font, and a lava lamp style within corporate communication.
That's exactly what Merck decided on.
Merck is a leading science and technology company in healthcare, life science, and performance materials. Around 50,000 employees work to advance technologies that enrich life – from biopharmaceutical therapies for treating cancer or multiple sclerosis to groundbreaking systems for scientific research and production, to liquid crystals for smartphones or LCD televisions.
Merck is leading, Merck is bold.
Anyone bold enough to develop a new brand needs a bold partner. For the new establishment in the American Silicon Valley, Merck needed a presentation to make potential partners and start-ups aware of the pharmaceutical company.
Given the innovation location, it was clear to us that we had to tease out a range of PowerPoint innovations. That's why we combined impactful effects like animations, morphing, motion design, and videos. Always with the goal of developing a unique presentation experience. Creating wowness.
The result was a style-defining presentation that enabled Merck to initiate a good start and partnerships in this strategically important innovation pool.
