Over the last few years, I have gathered some impulses:

Color

It should be subtle and color-coordinated. Definitely avoid bright colors when in doubt. Not only design but function should also be considered. While a gray top may reveal perspiration, a black one can hide it. White clothing and dark underwear might leave more to hope for – but not related to the keynote.

Cut

Whether pants or skirt – it must fit well. Not too tight and not too loose. Shoes should also fit. If a speaker stumbles on the way to the stage, this faux pas is sure to be remembered after the presentation.

Skin

“Less is more” does not apply here. No audience will associate belonging with a speaker who delivers their message in a muscle shirt, cropped top, or sandals.
